The operating system loaded on these radios is pretty basic, not at all like your home PC where you can uninstall any Windows updates you don't like or do a restore from a backup file. Typically, computer programming doesn't do that.
Since it updates files and gives them a new "born on" date, you are trying to reverse that process. "I wanna put it back" is easier said than done.
